A: Yes, we do! Everyone who works at Thimble Pleasures is a customer too. Like you - we are devastated for ourselves, but very happy for Julie who has worked 24-7 as a business owner for the last 23 years. She deserves her retirement and a whole lot of sewing time!Q: When will you be closing?
A: We anticipate our last day to be at the end of December 2016.Q: Why are all sales final?
A: We are closing and cannot take merchandise back. We have always had a no return policy on cut fabric, patterns and books, so this is not a big change.Q: What if I have a gift certificate?
A: Come in and spend it before we close. After that, it is no longer valid.Q: Will there be additional markdowns?
A: We have no immediate plans to markdown our first-quality, new merchandise down. There may be additional items added to our clearance table which is currently at 65% off original prices.
Q: Will your hours be changing?
A: Yes - beginning now - we will no longer be open on Sundays except for Sunday, October 9 for Quilt Carolina. Beginning now - we will no longer be open on Tuesdays until 7. Our new hours will be: M-F 10-6, Saturdays 10-5 and Closed on Sundays until we close in December. If you are taking a class on a Tuesday Evening or Sunday - the store/classroom will be open to enrolled students only.Q: What about Mastery Classes?
A: We will be offering Mastery Classes to those of you who have purchased your machines in the last 12 months. We can offer waiting list spots to those of you have purchased prior to that. This is the only doable solution at this time.Q: Is someone else purchasing Thimble Pleasures?
A: Not at this time. The shopping center where we are located will continue to be a construction zone for approximately 2 years with plans for an additional building in our parking lot. It may not be the best location for a new a business owner. If this changes - we will notify everyone. We feel confident that someone will see the need in our community and come along and fill the void.Q: Will you still be repairing machines?
A: Yes, our technician Adam, will continue to repair machines through the 3rd week in December with all pick-ups by customers by December 23. Our policies will remain the same with first-come, first-served. Adam will be available after we close in some other shops and we will keep you posted as to his permanent locations as we know of them.Q: Do you still have a loyalty program?
A: If you have money to spend, that is still available for you. Additional loyalty rewards have been discontinued because everything is now reduced by 15%.Q: Will new fabrics be arriving?
A: There are some new fabrics that are still arriving, but we are no longer accepting special orders.Q: Will you still be offering classes?
A: Yes - our calendar is posted. Classes will continue to be on a first-come, first-serve basis with minimum numbers and maximum numbers. Our withdrawal dates without penalties will remain at 7 days. Class supplies are now 15% off as everything in the store is 15% off.Q: Will your store fixtures and furniture be available for sale?
A: We expect to make those items available in December for pick-up at the end of days. We use these items for display. All items will be cash and carry. We cannot provide delivery services.Q: Will you still be having your monthly end of bolt sale?
A: No - we won't - but as always, we will continue to have flat folds that are 20% off and you may receive 20% off any bolt you finish in the store.
